The owner of this 1970s home was looking for a well needed update. Plans for renovation and extensions progressed to a complete transformation with only the original Matai flooring remaining. Architect Graham Walls from ParkWest Design engaged me to liaise with the client on the interiors.
The brief was to create a classic country style family home for her family on their lifestyle block. A home that is welcoming without being pretentious, yet timeless and elegant. As I was involved early in the process I had the chance to make tweaks on window placement, kitchen & bathroom layout, and a staircase slat wall feature. I worked closely with the client on the hard & soft fit out, finishes & colours as well as designing the kitchen, bathrooms and custom furniture.
